SOCIAL SERVICES
During this season of pandemic precautions
we have reduced our normal services.
the harris health clinic continues on m-F, 8am-2pm.
our Clothing & Hygiene Center Resumes in a revised way in the first week of January, 2021.
We continue to feed and provide mail to our homeless neighbors from 8am-noon, m-F.

LOTS Houston offers both a free Vision clinic, in partnership with the University of Houston School of Optometry, and a free medical clinic provided by Harris Health System, which offers a wide range of primary health care services, including:​

  • Family medicine
  • Well-women
  • Pediatric exams
  • Immunizations
  • Psychiatry & Behavioral Health​
  • HIV/AIDS and TB testing
  • Health Maintenance courses
  • Prescriptions via a Class D Pharmacy
  • Diagnostic services
  • Social Worker & Gold Card Applications​

Primary needs

We offer an array of basic supportive services - a welcoming day shelter
- food and water
- clothing and hygiene items
- a mailing address at which to receive mail

Through our information-assessment counselors we refer people to partner agencies for other essential services, including substance abuse recovery programs, job readiness training, and housing/shelter.  Counselors also aid with obtaining valid ID and food stamps.

  • Information & Referrals for - shelters, substance abuse treatment/recovery, job readiness training, assessment for housing (for short & long term)
  • Project Access Bus tickets
  • Metro Bus Pass (requires a verifiable appointment)
  • Emergency Bus tickets for Family Crises (requires verification)
  • Use of Telephone (local calls only)
