Pray for Lord of the Streets

Thomas said to him, "Lord, we don't know where you are going, so how can we know the way?"

Jesus answered,
"I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me."
John 14:5-6

2024 spring luncheon

Our 2024 Spring Fundraiser Luncheon
was held on Wednesday, May 15
at The Junior League of Houston.
We had a great time
gathering together, celebrating
all that we've accomplished,
and looking forward to a new year
of fruitful work among those we serve.

Our guest speaker was
The Rt. Rev. C. Andrew Doyle,
IX Bishop of Texas
who gave an
inspirational address.

Thank you, Bishop Doyle!

Juneteenth Mural by
Reginald Adams

Picture
In celebration of Juneteenth, Lord of the Streets was chosen by Volunteer Houston to receive a mural by renowned local artist, Reginald C. Adams celebrating Juneteenth and the liberation, resilience, and social justice it represents. Volunteer Houston chose Lord of the Streets to receive one of Mr. Adams’ murals due to our work for social justice with people facing homelessness, for the resilience they show, and the liberation we all work toward. Over the next several months, we will be having conversations with clients, parishioners, and supporters about Juneteenth and all that it represents.
Please share your stories of liberation, your stories of resilience, and your stories of justice. They can be anonymous. We will gather the stories shared and present them on our Facebook page, our website, and have conversation with our clients, parishioners, neighbors, supporters, and partners.
